Following the submission of a Designation Order by Natural Resources Wales (NRW), Welsh Government have announced their plans to appoint Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) to hold a public local inquiry to consider the representations and objections made in connection with the creation of the new Glyndŵr National Park. On 6 April, significant changes to the Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) regime will come into effect. Key changes Statutory Sick Pay will be available to all eligible employees regardless of their earnings (the Lower Earnings Limit is being removed). Statutory Sick Pay will be payable from the first full day of sickness absence (the three-day waiting period is being removed).
