The Cabinet Minister for Culture and Sport, Heledd Fychan MS, has launched a consultation onย A Vision for Culture and Sport in Wales. The evidence gathered will play an important role in the development of a new Culture and Sport Strategy for Wales. The Call for Evidence will run until December 18th. North Wales Tourism are running 2 sessions on Tuesday 15th of September on the Understanding of Digital Marketing – one at 10am-12pm and another at 2-4pm. The latest provisional statistics (January to December 2025) on overnight and day trips to Wales by GB residents has been released by Visit Wales. Wales overnight trips During the period January to December 2025, Great Britain (GB) residents took 7.76 million overnight trips in Wales with 23.48 million nights and ยฃ2.30 billion spent during these trips. Compared to 2024, the volume of overnight trips taken in Wales was 2% higher, whilst nights were 5% higher, and expenditure was 3% higher.
