Holiday World Show, Dublin Opportunity

With budgets tight everywhere we think it is more important than ever for us to pool resources and work collectively for the good of the destination.  We have therefore come up with a package to promote the region to the Irish Market.

We attended this holiday show a few years ago pre Covid and we did get good results from attending (increase in web visits, Stena tickets sales, and press coverage).

If you would like to join us in promoting your business to the Irish market why not contact us for further information on the package or if you would like to discuss the opportunity of working with us please do not hesitate to contact eirlys.jones@gonorthwales.org.uk or deborah.nettleton@gonorthwales.org.uk or 01492 539058/539067.

Business Year Planner 2026

Would you like to promote your business to over 1300 members of North Wales Tourism from Accommodation operators, visitor attractions, food and drink venues and retail?  It so please get in touch as we are currently in the process of producing the North West and North East of Wales Year Planners (print run of 1,000 each).

Advertising on a wall planner offers numerous advantages, primarily centered on providing year-long, consistent brand exposure in high-traffic areas at a low cost.

Key benefits include:

  • Continuous Visibility: Once hung, a wall planner is displayed for a full 12 months, providing repeated daily exposure to your brand, logo, and contact information.
  • Practical Utility: Wall planners are useful tools that help people organize their schedules and manage their time. Because they serve a practical purpose, they are less likely to be discarded than other promotional materials, and are often seen as a welcomed gift rather than a blatant advertisement.
  • Wide Audience Reach: Placed in prominent locations such as offices, kitchens, or reception areas, your advertisement is seen not only by the primary recipient but also by colleagues, clients, visitors, and family members, significantly expanding its reach.

If you are interested in the above opportunity please email deborah.nettleton@gonorthwales.org.uk.

Strengthening Ties with Himeji: A Successful Visit to Conwy

Last month, Conwy was delighted to host a distinguished delegation from our twin town, Himeji City in Japan, as part of our ongoing international partnership.

The visit began with a stay and tour of the historic Mostyn Hall, after which the guests were greeted with a memorable guard of honour performed by the Knights Templar a unique blend of Welsh heritage and ceremonial tradition.

The delegation included:

  • Mr Motoyasu Yamada, Deputy Mayor of Himeji City
  • Mr Takashi Murakami, Manager of the Cultural and International Exchange Division
  • Ms Hiromi Tanaka, Section Chief of the Cultural and International Exchange Division

They were warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Conwy, Cllr Gary Willetts, along with council members and officers.

A highlight of the visit was the signing of a new five-year Memorandum of Understanding, renewing and strengthening the formal friendship agreement between our two communities. The delegation and Conwy representatives also held productive discussions on future collaboration in culture, education, tourism, and youth exchanges.

The day continued with a special escorted tour of Conwy Castle, once again led by the Knights Templar, offering our Japanese guests a fascinating insight into our world famous UNESCO World Heritage site.

This visit reaffirmed the warm and enduring relationship between Conwy and Himeji. We look forward to many more joint initiatives over the next five years and beyond!  ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต
