From autumn 2026, if you take bookings for overnight stays in Wales, you’ll need to register with the Welsh Revenue Authority by law. It applies to anyone who takes bookings for overnight stays in Wales, from informal hosts letting out a spare room for one night to professional year-round providers.

Visit https://www.gov.wales/get-ready-register-your-visitor-accommodation-wales to learn more and sign up for reminders when registration opens.
