The Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (No. 3) (Wales) Regulations 2020

These Regulations are made in response to the serious and imminent threat to public health which is posed by the incidence and spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in Wales. £300 million for Welsh businesses

The new and bolstered economic package will see: Payments of £1,000 for businesses that are eligible for Small Business Rates relief and occupy a property with a rateable value of £12,000 or less. Payments of up to £5,000 for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses that are required to close and which occupy a property with a rateable value of between £12,001 and £50,000.A discretionary £2,000 top-up grant for businesses closed or materially affected by the firebreak lockdown.A further discretionary £1,000 grant for businesses that were materially affected by local lockdown measures for 21 days or more prior to the start of the firebreak lockdown period. Plas y Brenin National Outdoor Centre and the Moray House School of Education and Sport at the University of Edinburgh, announce the launch of a transformative new approach to the education of outdoor professionals. New Finance Package announced

The First Minister announced an additional £300m package of financial support to assist businesses thoughout the 2 week period. Every business covered by the small business rates relief will get a £1,000 payment. Small and medium-sized retail, leisure and hospitality businesses which have to close will receive a one-off payment of up to £5,000. Both will be paid via your Local authority There will also be additional discretionary grants and support for smaller businesses, which are struggling. More information to follow.
