Following a decision by Cyngor Gwynedd’s Full Council meeting on 14 May 2026, Cyngor Gwynedd is moving forward to consult on the possibility of introducing a Visitor Levy in the county. The VAT rate on eligible activities will be cut from 20% to 5% and applies across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The reduced rate will apply from 25 June 2026 to 1 September 2026 (inclusive).
