The Welsh Government and the Food and Drink Wales Industry Board have just launched a series of priority actions to support the food and drink sector in Wales in its recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The pandemic has had a sudden and significant impact on nearly all businesses and supply chains within the food and drink sector whatever their size. There is now a huge challenge for individual businesses’ survival. The pandemic’s impact threatens our sector’s success.

These actions will be the WG and the Food and Drink Wales Industry Board joint short term focus and will target support for the sector over the coming months until next summer.

Please find link to the recovery plan below.

The Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs will be hosting a webinar to discuss the plan at 16:30 on Wednesday 5 August.

To book your place please email bwyd-food@gov.wales. The webinar will run on the Microsoft Teams platform and is limited to 250 attendees.
