While the situation in Wales is improving, lockdown restrictions – alert level 4 must continue for another 3 weeks to allow the NHS to recover.

Rates of coronavirus across Wales have fallen to 175 cases per 100,000 people for the first time since early November.

Thousands more people receive their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine – the latest figures show almost 11% of the population have been vaccinated.

Two small changes from tomorrow :

* People can change support bubble if circumstances have changed

* Two people from different households can meet outside to exercise outside together

(although they should make every effort to maintain social distancing. People must still start and finish exercise from their home unless a person needs to travel for health reasons. This means that, for now, if two people are meeting they will need to live nearby each other as travel for exercise is generally not allowed.)

Extended package of support announced for non essential retail and hospitality – via non domestic rates scheme and local authorities. You should not need to apply if you have received funding previously.
