Zip World says ‘thank you’ with 50% off for local residents

Zip World offered local residents 50% off last month as a thank you for supporting its journey to become one of the UK’s leading adventure attractions.

Over 3000 local people from the LL postcode took advantage of its ‘Locals Loyalty’ initiative that ran throughout March. All enjoying unique half price adventure activities in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

Zip World launched in North Wales eight years ago, and since then the renowned adventure attraction has grown remarkably. Today the business employs over 400 people during peak periods, has a turnover of £14m and benefits from global recognition.

Sean Taylor, Zip World’s President and Founder commented: “Without the support of local people, staff and local councils our success would never have been possible. In addition to friendly a Welsh Welcome, they also provide the B&Bs, restaurants and shops that our customers from further afield need to visit us. This was the least we could do to say thank you.

“We want to support the local community in every way we can. Our goal is to employ staff from the local area, something we’re extremely proud of. The results from a recent survey confirmed that 93% of our staff were from the local area and suggests that the money being made stays within the region’’.

According to a 2018 report from North Wales Tourism, Zip World has bought £251 million to the North Wales economy and over 1 million visitors. With its iconic backdrops surrounded by Welsh slate quarries, forest and woodland, unique to anywhere else in the UK.

As well as Zip World Titan and a unique subterranean playground Bounce Below, in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Zip World also runs Velocity 2 in Bethesda and the UK’s only Alpine Coaster in Betws y Coed. It also has plans to create other world class destinations in South Wales and beyond, as well as launching new products within existing sites.

Due to the success of the Locals Loyalty initiative, Zip World hope to reintroduce the promotion again for residents in North Wales. Keep up to date on how to apply for a unique promotional code by following Zip World on Facebook and instagram.
