Welsh Government support for businesses impacted by Covid restrictions

The ERF package of support will provide emergency and transition grants of up to £25k to eligible businesses to help meet their operating costs (excluding staff wages) for the period between 1st July 2021 and 31st August 2021. The package will provide grants to businesses that remain closed or continue to be materially affected by Covid-19 alert level 2 and the transition to alert level one restrictions. “Helping Guests and Visitors to Stay Safer in the Outdoors – Ask the Experts”

Next week – a chance to join an online session specifically for industry partners: “Helping Guests and Visitors to Stay Safer in the Outdoors – Ask the Experts” On Thursday, 1 July at 2pm Visit Wales will be hosting an hour long free online session in advance of the summer holiday period. Business Wales Town Centre Entrepreneurship Fund

The Welsh Government has launched the Town Centre Entrepreneurship Fund as a pilot programme to provide financial assistance for entrepreneurs and businesses who are looking to start and grow a business in one of four town centres across North Wales – Bangor, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl and Wrexham.  This fund will be available as a discretionary grant of between £2,500 – £10,000 per business to support with the revenue costs associated with starting up in or relocating to a town centre.  In order to access the fund, you must submit an Expression of Interest form (available to download below) and register with Business Wales. COVID-19: Furlough (CJRS) is changing from July

Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) funding will reduce to 70% of employees’ usual wages for the hours not worked, up to £2,187.50 during July 2021 (currently 80% / £2,500). In August and September, this will reduce to 60% of employees’ usual wages up to a cap of £1,875.
