Economic Resilience Fund

Welsh Government’s Economic Resilience Fund (ERF) Phase 2 is now open for applications. The ERF is designed to support businesses, social enterprises and charities that are not eligible for other Welsh Government COVID-19 non-repayable grant support schemes. Eligible businesses can claim up to: £10,000 for micro businesses£100,000 for SMEs£690,000 for large businesses The Fund is open to applications until 10 July 2020 (or until the fund is fully committed). Welsh Government announce grant support for Start Up businesses

The new start-up grant will support up to 2,000 businesses in Wales, with £2,500 each. This will provide crucial funding to people who established their businesses between 1 April 2019 and 1 March 2020, helping them to continue trading through the pandemic. The fund will be worth £5m initially with flexibility for the future. It will support start-up firms, which fall outside the UK Government’s Self Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) as they only began trading in 2019. Applications for this grant will open on 29 June, at the same time as phase two of the Economic Resilience Fund opens to applications. https://gov.wales/welsh-government-announce-grant-support-start-businesses

Good To Go / Barod Amdani

Visit Wales are launching a ‘Good To Go/Barod Amdani’ scheme on Friday; it will be a free accreditation scheme for all tourism and events businesses to give customer confidence that we are Covid-aware – you do not have to be VW accredited to apply. There will be a 14 question online assessment and you will need to undertake a risk assessment and you will receive a certificate (downloadable) as well as other digital certifiers.
