Visits to tourist attractions: 2019 and 2020

The report monitors trends in the tourism attraction sector for 2019 and 2020 in order to provide a greater understanding of the sector. Phased easing of Covid restrictions to continue – First Minister 

Wales will complete the move to alert level 0 on 28 January  From Friday 21 January, Wales will move to alert level 0 for all outdoor activities. COVID-19 Economic Resilience Fund (ERF) Business Support – December 2021 – February 2022 Eligibility Checker

The ERF is targeted at businesses in the hospitality, leisure and attraction sectors and their supply chains who have been materially impacted by a greater than 60% reduction of turnover between 13th December 2021 and 14th February 2022. The funds seeks to compliment other COVID-19 response measures to support businesses, social enterprises and charitable organisations in Wales. Emergency Covid Financial Support Including Newly Established Businesses

In late December WG issued statements about the £120m financial support that has been made available for businesses impacted by Omicron, they are now able to confirm that subject to meeting the eligibility criteria the funding will also be available to newly established businesses. The Welsh Government recognises that there is a need to support those who started a new business in the summer months.The funding will provide a potential lifeline to those who have recently established their business and help them to continue trading through the period 13 December 2021 to 14 February 2022 despite being impacted by the spread of Omicron.
