Welsh Government ease restrictions

Self-contained holiday accommodation, including hotels with en-suite facilities and room service, will be able to reopen to people from the same household or support bubble. The stay local rule will be replaced by an interim all-Wales travel area, which will remain in place until April 12, subject to the public health situation. Cultural Recovery Fund (CRF2)

Up to £30 million to support Wales’ diverse culture sector through the ongoing pandemic has been announced by Welsh Government. An eligibility checker will go live from midday Wednesday 24 March 2021 via the Business Wales website. The Fund will be open for applications from the week beginning 6 April and will close on the 20 April. Coronavirus control plan: revised alert levels in Wales (March 2021)

Describes changes to alert levels taking account of vaccination and the dominant Kent strain. The updated Coronavirus Control Plan sets out the following phased steps for moving from alert level four into alert level three: From Monday 22 March: First phased opening of non-essential retail – restrictions on the sale of items will be lifted for shops, which are currently open;Garden centres re-open. Tourism Business Barometer

The latest Tourism Business Barometer report is now available.  Findings, from the survey conducted in late February with 800 tourism businesses, indicate that around two thirds of businesses are taking advance bookings.  Two thirds of these businesses report fewer bookings than usual, and only 1 in 10 have more than they would normally expect at this time of year.   https://gov.wales/tourism-barometer-coronavirus-covid-19-impact-survey-wave-6-2021
