This was the first time that Portmeirion has offered free entry to visitors on St David’s Day, a gesture which was well-received by visitors. The day outperformed expectations seeing the biggest number of day visitors for any single day in the company’s history. A leading holiday park operator has unveiled plans to invest over £1 million in its Talacre Beach Resort. Darwin Escapes, which itself is headquartered at Talacre, plans to upgrade the resort’s clubhouse and accommodation facilities. The investment will see the introduction of a number of new caravans, refreshed interiors, a new entrance to the pool area and an extension to the clubhouse with a beach hut theme.
